Dynamic Accuracy Response Timing System (DARTS)

An evolving human performance assessment system, developed through research and applied across diverse environments.

HISTORY & EVOLUTION

PANDIAS to DARTS: From Classrooms to Space and Back

A multidisciplinary collaboration

DARTS is developed and maintained by a small team with backgrounds in research, engineering, and performance science. The project is a service of AAISCS, where it continues to evolve through applied work and research partnerships.

Professor Andreas A. Ioannides
Professor Andreas A. Ioannides
CEO & Scientific Lead
Professor Ioannides is a neuroscientist specialising in spatial-temporal brain dynamics across awake and sleep states. His work focuses on how large-scale brain networks support performance monitoring, cognitive control, and state transitions. As CEO and Scientific Lead of DARTS, he guides the platform’s scientific direction, ensuring that rigorous neuroscience translates into practical, real-world performance tools. His expertise forms the foundation of DARTS’ precision timing framework and neural biomarker strategy.
Dr. Christodoulos Karittevlis
Dr. Christodoulos Karittevlis
Connectivity, Analytics & Integration Lead
Dr. Karittevlis completed a Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD (ICONN) in brain connectivity and advanced signal processing. His research bridges electrophysiology, network modelling, and applied analytics. At DARTS, he leads system development, signal processing, and EEG/EMG integration, building the analytical engine that enables high-resolution, trial-by-trial performance tracking. He also works on the marketing and branding strategy of DARTS, helping position the platform clearly across scientific and commercial audiences.
Miltiades Ioannides
Miltiades Ioannides
Translational & Platform Development Lead
Mr. Ioannides focuses on translating advanced neuroscience into intuitive, user-ready systems. He has played a key role in evolving DARTS from its early concept into a streamlined hardware-software platform. Working closely with Professor A. A. Ioannides and Dr Karittevlis, he integrates scientific insight, technical architecture, and usability into fast, accessible performance paradigms. Alongside Dr Karittevlis, he contributes to the marketing and branding of DARTS, ensuring the platform communicates clearly across operational, scientific, and high-performance sectors.

The team works across laboratory and applied settings, supporting collaborations with universities, sports organisations, healthcare providers, and research institutions.
